Garden of Life Vitamin Code, Kids, 60 Chewable Bears Reviews
6 of 6 people found the following review helpful Update...5-year-old likes the taste, 2-year-old reverts..., May 31, 2011 This review is from: Garden of Life Vitamin Code, Kids, 60 Chewable Bears (Health and Beauty) My kids take Nature's Plus Animal Parade vitamins happily, but when we recently visited our local vitamin store, the vitamin guru there urged us to try Vitamin Code Kids instead (as it is made from 100% whole foods). I was skeptical whether my kids would like the change, however when they tried it, they both said, "Mmmmmmmmm! This tastes GREAT!" Please take note that Animal Parade is also a chewable (like the old Flintstones vitamins), so Vitamin Code Kids is in the same chewable family. That's probably why my kids adjusted well to them. (When I tasted one, I noticed it disintegrated faster in my mouth and didn't have that nasty mineral aftertaste.) Thus, if your kids are used to gummy vitamins or others that are on the sugary side (that taste almost like candy), then they probably won't like these vitamins. I'd suggest to buy a small bottle from Whole Foods to test it out first, so you can return it if they are not a hit in your family.
UPDATE: After a week of my kids... Read more
3 of 3 people found the following review helpful Son savors them!, August 6, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Garden of Life Vitamin Code, Kids, 60 Chewable Bears (Health and Beauty) Was concerned over taste after reading reviews. It's bitter-sweet for my, b/c my son asks for them upon waking every morning, and throughout the day. It takes him 30 minutes to finish it, b/c he truly savors each one! He's 2 1/2 and I give him the full serving, despite bottle stating it's for 4 yrs. old +
I tasted them, and thought they were much tastier than the drugstore/flinstone type vitamins that have that icky vitamin taste. I don't give my son sugar, so perhaps this tastes sweet/good to him for that reason, but they do contain a bit of sugar and are sweet from the fruit juices. I hope they really are from whole foods, as the co. claims, since that seems to be assimilated better by the body (from my understanding) and are not harsh if taken on an empty stomach. You can't beat amazon's price, however, just wondering if it's safe to buy from amazon, since the co. site doesn't list it as an approved online vendor??
3 of 3 people found the following review helpful My son loves them!, January 6, 2011 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Garden of Life Vitamin Code, Kids, 60 Chewable Bears (Health and Beauty) These are the only vitamins my son will eat! I'm surprised at the other reviews, because he loves them. It must just depend on the child. We call them his "lion" vitamins because of the animals on the package.
Thanks for making a great product!
